How long do BOTOX® results last?
Results can vary from person to person, but on average, BOTOX® injections can provide facial rejuvenation results that last three to four months. After the effects begin to fade, follow-up BOTOX® treatments can maintain results. In fact, some patients have noticed results tend to last longer after each repeat visit.
When will I see results from BOTOX®?
Optimal results from BOTOX® should be seen within approximately seven to twelve days after treatment.
What is the BOTOX® treatment like?
BOTOX® treatment is typically fairly brief – approximately ten minutes, depending on the number of treatment areas. BOTOX® is prescription medication and should only be injected under the care of a physician or licensed RN. They are carefully injected using a fine needle. According to your treatment plan, BOTOX® injections will be made in desired areas to temporarily prevent underlying facial muscles in the target areas from contracting (it is this muscle contraction that creates the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines).
Will the BOTOX® injections hurt?
Our team always does their best to put your comfort first. The needle used for the injections is very fine.
Do the BOTOX® injections cause bruising?
During the week before you have any BOTOX® injections, we recommend avoiding any blood thinners, such as aspirin, ibuprofen, as well as Vitamin E supplements or fish oil. These medications can all lead to increased bruising and bleeding at the BOTOX® injection sites.
How long is the recovery period?
There is usually no recovery period needed after BOTOX® injections. Most patients are able to return to their daily activities immediately after treatment has been completed. There can be redness, swelling or bruising on occasion, but these side effects are minimal and should fade quickly.
